APW - Illinois, Bunn Special, Grade 163A, 23J 60 hour Elinvar, Type IIP marking, 16S, gold-filled OF original Bunn Special Model 206 case, "Illinois Bunn Special 23 Jewel 60 hour" marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, mono-metallic balance with blued Elinvar hairspring, raised gold jeweled settings, gold train, interrupted ray pattern nickel damascene, s#5448466.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches to larger winding wheel, small but deep gouge in larger winding wheel hub, few scattered micro-fine scratches to plates; dial has few branching outer chapter hls at 8, few scattered very fine surface scratches visible only at certain angles of light, some edge rub under bezel between 7 and 10; excellent hands; case shows light to medium wear, small but deep scratches at right rear perimeter are a somewhat crude attempt at re-touching the worn circular pattern, no dents or dings, partial rings of brass to band and rear shoulders and edges; slightly brassy bow pivots semi-freely, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
